This tiny sheep and flowers has been hand-stitched on heavily stained coffee-dyed muslin in several shades of antique white, dark gold, country green and black. It measures only 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches and is in a black handmade frame that has been heavily sanded for a very rustic primitive feel. These little sheep are an original design which I have hand-stitched in muted colors of off-white, dark ivory, ecru (combined) and shades of pine green for the grass. It is stitched on coffee-dyed muslin and then lightly stained for a charming antique look. These sheep have been place in a black wood frame which has been handcrafted by me. The entire frame has been heavily sanded adding to it's vintage appearance. I have accented the frame with rusty metal filagree corners and tiny rusty nails. Click for Detail	#COWPIC. Country Primitive Cow This primitive cow is one of my original designs has been hand stitched on coffee-dyed muslin and then lightly stained. The cow is stitched using a very light tan with a bit of black added in throughout. The spots have been done in black. I've sewn on a tiny black glass bead for its eye. The words and dashes which border the stitchery have been done in black. This primitive cow stitchery has been framed in a black wood frame which has been handcrafted by me. The frame has been sanded to add to the aged primitive appearance of the stitchery. My vine and berry heart design has been hand-stitched on muslin and then heavily coffee stained for a very aged timeworn look. The heart is sewn using dark brown for the vine and two shades of country red for the berries. Each small individual berry is satin stitched allowing for slight variations in shape and size, just as a real berry vine is. I've framed the picture in a handmade wood black frame that is heavily sanded adding to the time worn apprearance. Then the frame is accented with rusted filagree corners and several tiny rusty nails. It turned out beautifully and is available as a custom order! It is hand-stitched on coffee-dyed muslin and then stained. A repeating pattern of flowering vines with lily-like flowers, daisies and leaves make up the picture. There are 2 tiny dragonflies near the flowers, one at each end of the picture. This sample was stitched in shades of greens, country red, antique golds, beige, antique white and khaki. The handmade frame has been painted a dark rich chocolate brown and lightly sanded. The pig is done in a dark fleshtone pink with black spots and the rooster is stitched in black with maroon and antique gold accents. I've added tiny black glass beads for the eyes on the sheep, pig and rooster. The black wood frame is handcrafted by me and heavily sanded to add to the primitive appearance.
