...all anyone needs is Gingerbread Wishes and Homespun Dreams...

The simple style of this picture from the large gingerbread man in the center to the wording and the x's along the top and bottom seem to recreate a long ago sack or box label.

Created from my original design, this picture has been hand-stitched on coffee dyed muslin using only brown, black and dark country red.  

I used an antique gingerbread man cookie cutter as the pattern for the ginger and the wording "Gingerbread Wishes"  "Homespun Dreams" have been done in an old-fashioned cursive style on the top and bottom of the ginger in black.  Then a single row of X's were added across the top and bottom in country red.

The entire picture has been generously stained to provide an aged appearance.

The handmade frame has been painted black and heavily sanded.  Then rusty filagree corners have been added for accent.

This adorable country primitive raggedy cuddling her small gingerbread doll is perfect for any raggedy collection!

She is handcrafted from coffee stained muslin and is approximately 5 1/2 inches (13.97cm) when sitting and approximately 11 inches (27.94cm) from the top of her head to the tips of her toes.

Her face is hand-stitched and she has two tiny black glass beads for eyes. Her hair is crafted from strands of dark country red yarn and hand sewn to her head. Her pigtails are tied from torn pieces of the same fabric that was used for her dress.

Her striped "stockings" are handpainted in a dark country red that coordinates with her hair. Her pantaloons are sewn from coffee stained muslin.

The dress is made from an old fashioned calico with a dark blue floral pattern. A dark blue button has been been sewn at the neck of the dress.

Her small gingerbread doll is sewn from coffee stained muslin with two old buttons on the front.
