General Information for Wandering Whimsies

Here's general information which I am sure you will find helpful:

Please know that all of my creations are handmade by "just" me and are done with the utmost care and attention to all the details. I will never send out an order that I would not proudly display in my own home!

Due to the "staining" and appearance of each individual piece of work, no two will ever be alike. This is what ensures that special "one of a kind" quality and creates a very unique personality of its own to each item that I make.

Item Availability - Stitcheries

IF, I should have a completed stitchery in my inventory, I will ship it immediately upon receiving your order.

Out of stock stitchery orders are completed and shipped within the timeframe listed with each item. (Please remember that I custom make the frame for your stitchery, in addition to handsewing your order) *Large orders may take extra time.*

Please email me before ordering with any questions you may have.

*** Also, since some of my stitcheries are done from other designers patterns, I will only stitch a certain number of that specific pattern (as per the request of the designer) and then it will be removed from my shop and no longer available.

Item Availability - Dolls 'n Such

Most, (but not all), of my raggedies, snowmen and other "critters" will have an inventory limit and you will be unable to order more that what I have available in stock at the time of your order.

This is because of: fabric availability (some items are made from pieces that I have had for years); length of time it takes to make certain items, and some items I will no longer make when my inventory is depleted.

IF , you should like to order more than is available at the time, please email me and I will let you know if it is possible to make more before you place an order. :) thanks!

Frames

All of my stitcheries are framed by me using a unique framing style that I have developed over time.

Each stitchery is ironed wrinkle free, then professionally stretched and attached directly to the frame. I DO NOT use tape! since eventually the tape will become brittle and your stitchery will begin to sag and wrinkle.

All of my frames are handmade by me from 1/4 inch by 1 1/2 inch solid pine stripping. This lets me to create all of the different size stitched pieces (like the 30 - 36 inch long "Over the Door" Scrollwork piece). The frame thickness is approximately 1/2 inch (including the backing).

Additionally, the frame is very lightweight:

allowing for accents, like the rusty filagree corners to be added, and
making displaying on small shelves, chair railings, etc., much easier, and
lowers your shipping costs.

All frames are backed with 3/16 inch thick wood and have been completely sealed with a matte finish. A hanger is included.

My framed stitchery does not contain glass within the frame.

Serving Trays

All of the serving trays are handmade by me from 1/2 inch pine and the tray does contain a glass insert which has been attached to the tray.

All check-outs and payments are done through Paypal's secure server. You DO NOT need a Paypal account in order to pay through the secure payment system. (just scroll to the bottom of the paypal screen at checkout/payment processing.)

Additionally, you may pay with a money order or cashier's check. Please choose this option during checkout and send a copy of the order with your payment. You may mail your payment to 1367 Darlene Circle, Radcliff, KY 40160. Your order will be processed and shipped upon receipt of payment.

Returns

**Every effort has been made to provide detailed information on each item, including color, size, etc., so please email me with any questions before placing your final order.

I believe in 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not happy with your purchase, please let me know!

Email me within 3 days of receipt of your item (no item will be accepted for return without prior approval). Please provide your reason for wanting to return your order and any specific details. I will provide you with a refund (not including shipping) or a store credit upon receiving the item back.

Damaged Items

All items are securely packed before they are shipped.

In the unlikely event that your items arrives damaged AND YOU DID ADD INSURANCE to your order - please contact me for directions on returning the item.

I will gladly replace the damaged item, provide a refund (not including shipping costs) or a store credit per your choice.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT INSURANCE BE PURCHASED FOR YOUR ITEMS!! I will not be held responsible for any damage that occurs to your item during shipping and delivery if you have not added insurance to your order!

Insurance for US Post Office shipping can be added to your order from my Add Insurance section.

Special Requests on listed items

Just send me an email with your request. Since I start to work on an order once I receive it, this allows me to make exactly what you want. I can change stitching colors, add names, phrases, etc., and change the frame color without a problem or any delay in the shipping time.
